Double bottom definition

Double bottom is a technical analysis term that is normally a bullish buy signal. Double bottom on a chart is when a security reaches a "bottom", then tries to rebound, then re-tests the bottom the second time. Many investors/traders view the second bottom holding as a strong buy signal.

If the double bottom is breached and the stock continues to go down, many will interpret that as a strong sell signal.
